Rory was one of those big thinkers with the best of intentions. Lots of friends. Plenty of ideas. Sweet soul that she is, her money situation was always a mess.

Rory and I were talking about earning money, and I slipped this question in, ’cause I just had a feelin’:

“So, where in your life do things feel inflamed or monotonously irritating for you?”

Her answer was quick, which made it clear that she was on an obsessive loop about it. “What still burns my ass is that I’ve been trying, to no avail, to forgive my father for cutting me out of the will. I think about it every week.” In the context of our discussion about money hang-ups, a light switched on for her and that holy duh look came over her face.

“And guess what?!” she exclaimed. “I’m always inclined to go get a loan or a freebie instead of just going to earn more of my own money. I’m still trying to get something that’s supposedly owed to me.”

Sisters doin’ it for themselves, heard on high.

Whatever money thorn you might have in your side could be affecting your entire money flow. Locate it.
