My beloved teacher Wayne Dyer used to say, “Have the knowing banish the doubt.”

He is with me a lot these days.

Greetings PP tribe. How I have missed you. I am writing to you from London where I am about to lead my second workshop this year. I just flew from Italy where I led my second retreat this year. My mom is in the hospital and there is so much going on. So much. So I apologize for my lack of postings. I have missed you.

A card just fell out of my bag that said, ” Have faith in a higher intelligence.”

So today, here in London, on this bridge I choose that. This faith. This now. This.

As I walked this morning in London I thought this:

Sometimes the not knowing is the only knowing. @JenPastiloff (Click to Tweet!)

Sometimes you just have to trust so hard that your trust cracks your coffee cup in half.

Sometimes you have to let go of control and say: I do not know what’s going to happen and that’s okay.

I do not know how I will do it and that’s okay.

Sometimes your trust is the only thing that walks you down the street as you pass the men eating their fry-up breakfasts and the ladies laughing with strollers. Sometimes, most times, when you throw your hands up and say “I don’t know. I don’t know the answer.”

It’s trust that responds.

“I’m here,” it says.

“I’ve got you.”

“You don’t have to know.”

So you say okay then and you buy a coconut macaroon and smile at a stranger and offer a blessing to someone in need and then you cross the same bridge as yesterday but it’s not the same at all.

The beauty in surrender, in saying “I don’t know but that’s okay. I don’t know but it’s going to be okay,” the beauty in that has shifted so much that the bridge seems taller, the people seem happier, the water seems content with itself. And the water, at least you imagine it as so, whispers this to you, up on the bridge, the water says, “Hey you, I don’t know either. But look. I’m okay. I’m okay. I’m okay.”

And it’s going to be okay.
