You must be perfect says the voice.

You must score high. You must get better.

Look at what she is doing, how well she is doing it, she must know a secret that I don’t.

I am not pretty enough says the voice.
I am not smart enough.
I am not a good girl enough.
I am not sexy enough.

The voice is sneaky and comes into your mind and head before you can notice. Immediately you feel down, you feel the effects, and your energy is minimized.

You shrink from the magnitude of your greatness as a powerful woman or man into the smallness of your fear.

It’s the lie says love, there is more to you than this fear. There is more to you than this moment. Some part of you feels this glimmer of light, some part of you feels this can’t be it. A battle ensues.

The soul is always stronger than the fear though. @CosmicChristine (Click to Tweet!)

Slowly you rise, one step at a time. You find the courage. You rise from the darkness and with fear but you do it anyway.

Perfection is an illusion. The true feeling we want is not perfection, it is freedom. And it comes from being courageous despite the fear and the part of you that wants to quit.

Liberate yourself. Give yourself permission to fall.

Less is messy, pick yourself up again, and try again. This is us all, you are not alone, I promise. We rise we fall…like the tides.

What part of you is trying to find perfection?

In looks?
In relationships?
In friendships?

Explore where you see this pattern of pushing perfection. Bring mindfulness there and choose to release the belief that it is possible. Instead repeat, “I find peace from being free. I allow myself to be where I am. I give myself permission to figure it out, one step at a time.”

And one step at a time you will, this is life. Beautiful and messy.
