Do you ever wonder if anyone would listen to the thoughts you have in your mind?

You’re worried that no one would care about the topics you have to talk about. You’re worried that no one is going to care. You think your opinion isn’t important enough to share with other people.

I’ve been there. I want to be a public speaker who helps people by encouraging them to realize their inner potential. I worry that people will get bored because they think I’m trying to motivate them. I worry that people think that my message isn’t important enough.

It’s easy to feel ashamed when people don’t regard your words as anything meaningful. You start to feel that your views don’t matter, that your ideas don’t count, that your words can’t make a change.

I’ve stood in front of many individuals who told me that I wasn’t right. They told me that I was hopeless and that my ideas weren’t important.

But I’ve learned in my journey that everyone has something important to say.

Everyone has something worthwhile to share. Everyone has a perspective worth considering. Everyone has an idea that has significance.

It’s not easy to realize, but we all have important things to say. You might not realize it, but it’s true.

You Have Your Own Experiences

Everyone sees life in a different way. You and I exist on the same planet, but we have had different experiences.

Your thoughts and ideas are unique to you. They come from the experiences you’ve had, the people you’ve met and the world that you see. There are some things that happen that only you know about. The experiences that don’t feel special to you? They’re a whole new world for others.

You bring a new perspective that other people haven’t thought about. A perspective that seems ordinary to you, but provides a window into another world. That’s important, because those experiences are what brings people together.

You Have Your Own Interests

Your interests are unique to you. What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning isn’t the same as the person next door. Your knowledge on certain issues will be different as well.

You love a field of study like science or mathematics. You might be into the world of arts as a writer or a musician. You like sports like an athlete or a coach. Even hobbies such as reading and playing video games have a wealth of knowledge.

It might seem ordinary to you, but your passion about your interests can attract other people. You appeal to the inner artist within us all. You re-evaluate a view that was once accepted. You might even create a brand new concept.

People often ask what attracted people to their passions in life. Each of their answers is a rich and fascinating story, even though it might look ordinary at first glance. The story of how you fell in love with your interests is wonderful. All you need is to know how to express it.

You Have Your Own Research

Your interests and experiences motivate you to keep learning. You learned from experts and facts to guide your education.

You’re not spouting opinions or feelings. You have actual knowledge and fact-based evidence to guide your words. The truth supports your feelings, which shows in what you say.

You spent your time building a foundation of knowledge. It may not have felt like it, but you became an expert in a topic. That knowledge is what backs up your words with facts that people can prove and see for themselves.

While you should always have an open mind, you have a wealth of information that others don’t have. I know a lot about public speaking, but I’m not knowledgeable when it comes to cooking. But I’d love to hear from people who can cook.

Not everyone knows the same things as you do. It’s a good thing that people are also interested in learning more about the world around them. Your knowledge may not seem special, but it could be the spark that helps people see the world in a new perspective.

You Have Something Important To Share

You might still be wondering if you’ve got something unique or you have something that people want to hear. Your interests, experience and knowledge might be about a television show.

That’s still important.

You are passionate for a reason. You continue to learn about what you love. You have experiences that only you know. That’s enough to make a message worth sharing.

Now that’s not to say that you can make up information, falsify things that you don’t agree with and lie. For the most part, people don’t do that. At least not on purpose.

Your thoughts and ideas may need refining. You may need practice in expressing them. But when you’re ready, there will be people who are willing to listen. There are people who want to know more. There will be people who know that you have something important to say.
