The word happy has taken over popular culture. It used to be that people were obsessed with material things but lately people have been obsessed with spiritual things, and while that is a massive shift- being obsessed with anything can be dangerous. Happy has become the new hot thing to go out and “get.” And here’s the thing about that, happy comes and goes. We as humans, have shifts and hormones, and crises.’ We rise and fall like the tide.

I find it far more beneficial to focus on building inner resilience and trust in oneself. Why? Because it’s solid.

Resilience means you rise DESPITE being happy and then when you’re happy you’re simply just chillin’ so it’s a win-win. Life is tough, I like win-wins. Don’t you? šŸ˜‰

Imagine… You strive for what you think happy is and you do your meditations every day and you’re on a high and then BOOM real life comes and something throws you off. You can’t say you “attracted that,” some things are in your path just for you – if you want to get deep, maybe you did from other lifetimes but really who has time for that kind of thinking. My concern is your health. Your emotional and mental and spiritual well being and that means being real. Life is happy and life is sad. Life is both challenging and easy. Ride the grey. Resist the urge to think black or white.

Go inward and build will power. Inner strength and resilience and power and trust in yourself to be okay no matter what, cause you will. No matter what. That’s the security you crave, inside of you. Get stronger and have faith in yourself to get creative and figure things out- in the good times and the bad times. It’s kind of like marrying yourself.
