Desire is the seed of the human spirit. It is what moves us and compels us to grow, expand, and explore. Desire is what the Kabbalists describe as the root of it all.
“A desire is placed in us from a completely other level of development – from the greater reality. What appears inside of our heart is a ‘point in the heart’ – that’s what the Kabbalists call it. This point is a part of the greater reality. It has an aspect of spirituality, which if this desire becomes fulfilled, unlike these, it grows continually, until it fills our entire experience, our entire existence, and can bring us into the Spiritual World.”
I imagine us in this cosmic realm before we are born into this physical reality, and there we have all these unqiue desires planted into our hearts and souls.
When we come into this world, we get universal signs and urges connected to these desires. The people and experiences brought into our lives are meant to assist us in this self discovery of these desires.
As we choose based on our soul desires we experience:
As we deny these soul desires we experience:
- stuck energy
The goal of life in my opinion is highly connected to giving ourselves the SPACE to explore and hear the beat of our heart and soul’s desires.
Listen in. What is she saying?
What lights you up?
Who lights you up?
What makes you feel joyful and inspired?
Listen to those cues and choose to cultivate those actions that align with those desires. As you make the commitment to listen to your SOUL above all other opinions and life’s distractions, you find a deeper fulfillment than ever before.
My soul is singing this to me as I write…
- I desire home.
- I desire art.
- I desire fun.
- I desire community.
- I desire deep intimacy and vulnerability.
- I desire beauty
- I desire up-leveling destiny
- I desire peace and health
- I desire LOVE in all her forms…
Then, my job is to move my feet to the beat of my soul’s drums.
Good. Now move your feet to your soul’s music… go out and get em.
