Great day in the morning, glory . . . every person, animal, plant, and stone has a personal sound — a raga, a melody of spirit — played by the soul. It’s been traveling and playing through countless lifetimes. It’s sitting at the core of your being, even when you have no idea it’s there . . . it’s always in the background singing. As the soul drives spirit into each incarnation, the heart of the physical body adds the rhythm and pulse of the genetic line. This is what makes up your individual process to experience life in a sensory vessel . . . you’ve become a unique sentient being.

As the melody of your spirit combines with the core rhythm, at the center of your body in this life, it governs the tendencies and expectations; the attitudes and inclination; the memories and anticipations that are used to either create debris, or move through the debris.

This is the debris that has kept you out of tune and out of touch with your melody for generations . . . for lifetimes. Your rhythm in this body is a brand new opportunity to re-engage the “dance”. Within your bio-system, the heartbeat — the Taal (rhythm) — is keeping the sequential-beats of time . . . dividing the eternal journey into beats, moments and segments of breath. Meditations and mantras are your willingness to listen to all this sound and decipher some orderly sense out of the nonsensical chaos. Your divine song of life — the voice of your spirit teaming up with the beats of your heart — plays from the moment you’re born until the moment of your last breath . . . your spirit runs on this song. When you’re listening, there’s no room for depleting emotions, only the ones that promote your good fortune.

Your task throughout life is to enable yourself and others — especially the children — to listen to their song; to live life in its dance. @gurusinghyogi (Click to Tweet!)

Our prayer is that you listen deeply each morning for the song of your life, then dance with your song through the beats of your day; that you encourage those around you to listen for theirs . . . create communities, become an orchestra playing divine music…in balance…in harmony…in touch with the peace that’s always around.
