We’re all seeking belonging, connection, and purpose… but we’re constantly looking for it in the wrong places. We listen to those that preach “relationships are the most important thing”, when most of those people have an unhealthy relationship to relationships. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
They’re lost inside co-dependence or operate from their winning strategies (the strategies we develop subconsciously in order to stay safe, secure, and ‘successful’). Or they use other people and relationships to fill a void. To drown out the empty space and silence that terrifies them. Their identity is lost inside the roles they play and titles they hold.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Don’t get me wrong, relationships are everything important. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
They’re essential to our survival as humans, and loving one another is all things beautiful. Family, friends, community… these can be nourishing and are essential to our growth, healing, and happiness.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But ‘finding our people’ isn’t the first level work.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s not the end-all, be-all of this life.⁣⁣
⁣⁣

Our work is about finding connection to source (God, Universe, Spirit, intuition, inner knowing, or energy, whatever you want to call that which is greater than us), as well as finding belonging to Self (our purpose, our soul, our truth, our higher consciousness).⁣⁣ @StephenieZ (Click to Tweet!)

⁣⁣
Belonging, connection, and purpose are what we need to feel whole and happy, able to engage fully with this life and the world we inhabit. It’s what allows us to heal and grow and step into more. To become who we’re here to be, doing the work we’re here to do.⁣⁣⁣⁣

But it doesn’t come from other people.⁣⁣ It comes from Source and Self.⁣⁣

⁣⁣Only then can we form TRULY whole, healthy, soulful relationships with the people we choose to walk alongside in this lifetime.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This work isn’t easy, but it’s what we’re here to do.⁣⁣

And it requires going deeper than you’ve ever gone before.⁣⁣
