Sometimes travel gives us more than we ever knew possible. Taking time off work last month reminded me of what is important and what I most value. So much what I do in coaching others means that I have to take the time to work on myself as well. New environments offer the space for new experiences, shifts in perspectives, and creativity!

This week’s intention is self-expression: following your heart in what you want.

Wandering through Paris was like waking up in the middle of a dream. The weather was gorgeous, sunny, yet cool. Strolling through the park surrounding the Eiffel Tower opened up the doors to meet all kinds of people along the way, see the city, and indulge in the most amazing coffee and pastries. It was a delight in every sense and exploring the city allowed me to literally just follow my heart to where it took me. I strive for an open mind and heart daily, yet it is in travel, art, writing and connection that I find myself most clearly connected and fulfilled in my heart.

The key is clarity.

When we are clear on our values and dreams, we create the life we want. @RobinEmmerich (Click to Tweet!)

Here’s my favorite method on how to discover what you most value… ✨

I’d love for you to paint along with me or choose your own intention and paint. This method is so easy that anyone can do it! If art isn’t your thing… what is or what are you open to exploring?

How do you find your heart most open and trust yourself to follow it? Let’s get this conversation going in the comments below!

Robin Emmerich has spent close to a decade coaching some of the most successful women in business. Even with their considerable success, the common denominator is that as much as they seemed to be cruising through life on the outside, they were melting on the inside. It’s why Robin just launched Beauty and the Mess—an athleisure brand creating a sisterhood who understands that life is messy and difficult and challenging, but together, can find the strength to prioritize passion over perfection and fearlessly seek beauty in their everyday lives. She currently offers the CIJourney online course, based on the famed Stanford Masters Degree Course, ‘Creativity in Business,’ individual coaching and worldwide retreats.
